Hamid Namini, Ph.D., is an accomplished executive-level and hands on statistician with over 30 years of experience in the biotech/ pharmaceutical industry, building and leading biometrics, statistics, and data science teams for small and startup companies. He has worked for companies such as Amgen, Gilead Sciences, Amilyn Pharmaceuticals, and Roche-acquired Poseida Therapeutics, among others.
Dr. Namini has also served as a lecturer/ adjunct professor at Cal Poly Pomona’s School of Business and Department of Mathematics, where he taught several lower and upper division courses on statistics and probability. Additionally, he has held several leadership roles within the American Statistical Association (ASA), including Vice President of the Los Angeles chapter and Co-Founder & Treasurer of the San Diego chapter.
Dr. Namini earned his M.A. degrees in Economics and Statistics from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), and his Ph.D. in Applied Statistics from the University of California, Riverside (UCR).
